Fingers crossed for a last-minute booking of a cheap flight to Sinai (Sharm-El-Sheikh) at ZAR1800 / $131 including transfer to Dahab... If we cannot secure a cheap flight by Thursday, or for those who want to really save the budget, it is possible to travel on Friday night by train back to Cairo and catch a night bus to Sinai, arriving in Dahab Sunday morning... saving two nights accommodation but it is an arduous and not highly recommended journey crossing more than half of Egypt by land...it would be far more sensible to budget for the maximum aount  ZAR4135 or USD300 and pocket the balance on extra spending money...

Mini-bus to Sinai desert. BUDGET ZAR200 / USD15... Get ready to spend two magical nights at the ancient Hathor Goddess Temple site, where the energy portal is at one of its most powerful points in Egypt. 3 meals are served daily at the Bedouin camp where you can sleep in a private tent or in the main Bedouin tent under the stars. There are very basic rooms where you can keep your belongings and sleep if you want privacy. Toilets and showers are lovely and built for communcal use. Water for showers is heated by the desert sun and not entirely warm. Should the "simple" set-up not be suitable for you, it is suggested you travel on to St. Katrine where the group will arrive on Thursday.
